Richard Cunningham, DDS

 

Richard Cunningham graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1974.  After practicing general dentistry and teaching at The OSU College of Dentistry for eight years, he enrolled in the three-year Prosthodontic Residency program at Ohio State. He completed his residency in 1985 and since that time, Dr. Cunningham has maintained a private practice.  His practice has an emphasis on implant prosthodontics and advanced restorative and cosmetic procedures and has treated thousands patients utilizing dental implants of all types.

 

As well as being a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Columbus Dental Society, Dr. Cunningham is a member if the American College of Prosthodontists which is the professional organization representing the specialty of Prosthodontics.  He is also a fellow of The International College of Dentists and The Pierre Fauchard Academy.  These honorary international organizations recognize excellence in and commitment to the dental profession.

 

 

  

Kim Allen Laurell, DDS, MS

 

Kim Allen Laurell received his Doctor of Dental Science degree in 1976 and his Master of Science degree in Prosthodontics in 1986 from The Ohio State University. He was a faculty member at The Ohio State University for over 20 years. He has also been very involved in continuing education seminars and has given many national presentations on a variety of topics. His personal website is www.prosthinfo.com.

 

 

 

Bradley Purcell, DDS, MS

 

Dr. Purcell attended Marquette University School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors in 2002.  After Marquette, he attended The Ohio State University from 2002-2005 for a specialty in Prosthodontics and a Master's of Science degree.  His academic accomplishments include membership to Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, the National Jesuit Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.  Dr. Purcell is a member of several professional organizations including: Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontics.  From 2005-2008 Dr. Purcell was in private practice in Charlottesville, VA before returning to Columbus to join the Worthington Dental Group.  While in Virginia, he served as president of the Virginia Section of the American College of Prosthodontics and delegate to the Virginia Dental Association.  From 2008-2009 he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Advanced Prosthodontics at The Ohio State University.  He lectures nationally and has been published in the area of dental implants.  

 

 

 

James Cook, DDS

 

Dr. James Cook graduated from the Ohio State University with two degrees:  B. A. Anatomy (1968) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (1970).  After 2 years of military service with the United States Army at Fort Leavenworth, KS, where he was the “dentist” for the staff of Munson Army Hospital, the Military Police, and the Military Band, he returned to establish his General Dental Practice in Northeast Columbus with emphasis on Family and Cosmetic Dentistry.

 

Dr. Cook is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and the Columbus Dental Society.  He has served on many of the committees for both The Ohio Dental Association and the Columbus Dental Society.

 

 

 

Robert Tootle, DDS

 

Dr. Robert Tootle graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1959.  He served on the faculty at the College for 25 years in Prosthodontics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shelley Ridenour, DDS, MS

 

Dr. Shelley Ridenour graduated from the University of Nebraska (B.S. 1976) College of Dentistry with Distinction in 1979 and was also elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society at that time.  She practiced general dentistry in rural northeast Missouri before completing a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.  From 1982-1989, Dr. Ridenour maintained a solo private practice in Sturgis, South Dakota.  While in South Dakota, she served on the Board of Directors for the Black Hills District Dental Society, and delegate to the South Dakota Dental Association.  

 

After relocating to central Ohio in 1989 with her family, Dr. Ridenour spent several years teaching as Clinical Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.  In 1995 she entered the Endodontic Residency program at Ohio State and received her Master of Science degree and Specialty Certificate in Endodontics in 1997.

  

Dr. Ridenour has practiced Endodontics in Columbus since 1997 and has recently joined the Worthington Dental Group.  She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, as well as the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Columbus Dental Society.
